TOGETHER, POSSIBLE

WWF-CANADA CAMPUS PARTNERS

Campus Partners are conservation partners creating opportunities for students, staff and faculty to take action for nature.

WHY CAMPUSES PARTNER WITH WWF-CANADA

The latest United Nations report on climate declared a “code red” for nature and humanity. WWF-Canada’s conservation goals are bold, because they have to be. To meet them, we need what the UN calls a “whole-of-society” approach. Together, we will fearlessly and relentlessly work to reverse the “code red.”

WWF-Canada supports campuses in achieving shared conservation and engagement priorities by mobilizing students and campus staff to take action, no matter their academic program or area of focus.

WWF-Canada provides Campus Partners with how-to and promotional resources, our conservation and engagement expertise, and mobilization tools including the Living Planet Leader student certification to bring the Living Planet @ Campus program to life. As we work together to fight climate change and biodiversity loss, WWF-Canada celebrates and recognizes the impacts achieved by our Campus Partners through our communications channels and our WWF-Canada Living Campus certification.

WWF-CANADA CAMPUS PARTNERS:

Educate and build awareness

Promote opportunities offered through WWF-Canada’s Living Planet @ Campus program and share resources to support students, staff and faculty in taking action, no matter their area of study or work.

Create and restore habitat for wildlife

Lead conservation activities that restore and connect habitat for wildlife on campus. Together, we are using nature to fight biodiversity loss and climate change.

Mobilize students, staff and faculty

Lead engagement activities to encourage and support tomorrow’s leaders and decision makers in taking action today.

Contribute to a community of practice

Together, WWF-Canada and our network of Campus Partners form a community of practice to continually shape and inform the program and drive student and campus opportunities that will help people and nature thrive together.
